I remember recording the keyboard introduction to this song in the Gothic Revival church that we live and play music in. As I played the first three notes I started hearing voices. Was it in my head or were there truly voices resonating in this sacred space? I recorded the backing vocals by listening to these maybe imagined voices from my Muses.
Moon Stars Sun is about the human experience of looking up at the sky and gazing at the infinity above us, wondering who we are, and where we belong in the universe. There is so much displacement of refugees and families fleeing their homes, fearing for their lives due to war and conflicts, who find themselves with their children homeless, with no roofs over their heads, and the only home they have is the vastness of the universe.
